GENERAL MANAGER JOB SUMMARY

As a general Manager, you will lead our fast-paced restaurant overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will use your leadership skills to inspire a dedicated team and uphold high standards of food quality and guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GENERAL MANAGER AT TIMMY T'S

  • You are responsible to oversee all aspects of daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow, efficiency, and adherence to Timmy T’s standards.

  • Builds and leads teams by finding, recruiting, and hiring the best talent that embody Timmy T’s personality, values, and culture.

  • Sets an example by maintaining high standards and culture for delivering excellent customer service.

  • Foster a fast, friendly, positive, and engaging work environment, cultivating talent, and motivating your team to deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Coaches and motivates team members by following training standards. Identifies and addresses additional development needs to encourage growth and retention.

  • Uses good performance management to keep great employees.

  • Prepares team schedules focusing on operational excellence and cost management without sacrificing customer satisfaction and team morale. Shares the team workload fairly.

  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and building regulations regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance.

  • Prepares all products according to company specifications, ensuring correct portions, quality, and presentation.

  • Maintains the integrity of recipes to ensure a consistent customer experience.

  • Encourages a culture of suggestive selling and an orientation towards "counter service" rather than "cashier" mindsets at the register.

  • Uses effective purchasing, inventory, receiving, and waste-monitoring procedures.

  • Participates in and promotes all brand-wide and local marketing initiatives.

  • Uses effective communication skills to build positive relationships with team members, customers, vendors, and other brand members.

  • Creates an environment of trust within the shop, including with team members, customers, vendors, and others.

  • Shows emotional resilience under pressure and during changing priorities.

  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solutions for problem-solving.

  • You are responsible to develop and implement strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and achieve ambitious revenue goals.

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize waste, and ensure efficient stock control procedures.

  • You should know how to use POS systems to handle transactions and track sales data.

  • Manage store cash and bank deposits, budgets effectively, costs, track key performance metrics, payroll records, generate accurate reports and all other financial transactions related to the shop.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2-4 years of restaurant management or food service experience, ideally in a similar fast-casual setting

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Prior supervisory experience is a strong plus

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide staff 

  • Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive dining experience

  • Proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and safe food handling practices.

  • Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain one.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage time efficiently

  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges and make sound decisions

  • Understanding of inventory management and supply chain operations

  • Experience with POS systems a plus

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

  • A passion for the food industry and commitment to excellent customer service
